Kamil Özoğul,founder of our company TEKİŞ,was born in Kilis,Turkey in 1938.In 1964 ,he received his master degree diplom in mechanical engineering Istanbul Technical Unıversity. He took his first job as a production manager of telephone switchboards at PTT, Turkish postal sevices, in 1966. Between 1968-1971 ,he worked at Demirdokum ,are nown manufacturer of heating and cooling products in Turkey. He married Sülerya Dulger on April 2,1966.The couple has three children, two girls and a boy. He established his first company MINIMOT to produce components for housware goods in 1972. In 1973,MINIMOT invested on modern tool making equipment including EDMs to manufacture its own tools.To supply growing demands on the tool market, Mr.Özoğul established TEKIS as a tool manufacturing company in 1977.In 1996,he started a new investment for a new line to produce mould bases,die sets and related elements for moulds and dies.
Kamil Ozogul gradually transferred his duties and 30 years of experience and expertise to his children and stepped down as chief executive officer of TEKIS in 2000.
He and his wife now live on Bozcaada,an Aegean island.They pursue their new life together working on vineyards and making wine.He remains at TEKİŞ as a non-executive chairman.
